Our Academy

A home for curious minds.

Rooted in Settegast, built for Houston families. We honor the dignity of every child through a Montessori-inspired, STEAM-rich education.

Our Story

Founded on legacy, built for Houston’s next generation.

Little Legacy Academy was founded by educator and mother Misha M. Slaughter with one belief: every child deserves a powerful start. From our doors in the Settegast community, we welcome families seeking a more thoughtful, premium early learning experience — one that blends Montessori principles with a signature 26-week STEAM curriculum we call The Little Maker Program.

Our home-like classrooms, intentionally low ratios, and warm educators create a place where children feel safe to wonder, brave enough to try, and proud of who they’re becoming.

Mission

Where Your Legacy Begins.

Our Environment

Beautiful spaces. Beautiful minds.

Our classrooms are intentionally calm: natural wood, soft lighting, plants, and child-sized tools that invite independence. Every shelf, every basket, every corner is designed to say to a child, “You belong here, and you can do this.”
